Directors

The Role

Directors use their creative vision and unique talents to transform a script from words on paper to a living, breathing piece of art. This is one of the most varied unseen jobs, with directors working from tv shows to theater, from pre- to post- production. Director's jobs start with the pre-production team, where they develop the script, hire crew members, and work with producers to figure out the bureaucratic side of the production. The work continues as they guide actors during rehearsals, collaborate with the visual team, and pull together any loose strings in the production throughout rehearsal and post-production.
